Music Scholarships

- Please note: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Class of 2029 Music Scholarship Auditions - originally scheduled for Monday, November 18 and Tuesday, November 19 - are postponed. New dates will be announced once available.
  
  Please reach out to Admissions - [email protected] - with any questions regarding the music program (Marching Band, Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, Choir, String Ensemble) and/or the audition process. We look forward to having your student share their talents and grow their passion for music!
  Additional Audition Information:
  Auditions are scheduled to be 15 minutes in length. Please schedule one available slot per student. If your student plays more than one instrument, still only choose one audition time and email Admissions to let them know.
  Instrumental auditions:
  Please prepare the following scales:
  C instruments: Bb, Eb, C, F
  F instruments: F, Bb, C
  Eb instruments: G, C, D
  Bb instruments: C, F, G
  Bass Clef instruments: Bb, Eb, C, F
  Choose a piece that best represents your musical abilities
  A short sight-reading excerpt will be provided
  Choral auditions:
  Pitch-matching with the piano, ability to stay in the key of a simple tune with the starting pitch provided (Happy Birthday, Jingle Bells, etc.)
  Choose a piece that best represents your musical abilities
  You may use your own accompaniment recording if desired
  Piano auditions:
  Please prepare any two major scales
  Choose two pieces that best represent your musical abilities (preferably a "fast" and a "slow" piece)
  A short sight-reading excerpt will be provided
