Holy Name High School has been helping students succeed for more than 110 years. Serving the greater Cleveland area, Holy Name is a Catholic, private school that helps students prepare for college while fostering relationships with peers, family, and God.
Holy Name students, or NAMERs as we like to call them, love the nurturing environment we provide. When you come to Holy Name, we strive to help you grow academically, spiritually, socially, and morally. In the time you spend at Holy Name, you will discover who you are, becoming an independent, open-minded, and accountable individual. As you define your name at Holy Name High School, you will be able to embrace who you are while pursuing opportunities to join over 25 school clubs and more than 20 varsity sports teams that are offered at our school.
Our students enjoy a strong school spirit and an array of extracurricular activities, including retreats, clubs, and rallies. Other stand-out features at Holy Name include:
Parents love Holy Name, too. They appreciate our faith-centered community, which welcomes members of all religions. Parents also love that our tuition is affordable and if needed, financial aid is available. Most importantly, 95% of Holy Name students go on to college after graduation.
Gaining admission to our private school is an outstanding achievement. Holy Name values well-rounded students who demonstrate a strong dedication to their education, their spirituality, and their relationships with themselves and others. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.
Admission to Holy Name is not based solely on test scores or attendance. Instead, our administrative team takes a holistic approach when reviewing applications. Factors we consider during the acceptance process include:
The application process at Holy Name depends on where you are currently enrolled in grade school. While students coming from diocesan grade schools will receive an online application from their grade school, students from public or non-diocesan schools need to submit an application – accessible on Holy Name High School’s website – along with a recommendation and school records release. Students transferring from another high school should contact Holy Name High School for more details about this process.
We offer a variety of scholarships, including those for academic achievement, high placement test scores, and musical skills. Holy Name strives to be accessible for all students with additional benefits, such as an alumni scholarship, sibling discounts, and tuition assistance. We are also pleased to accept EdChoice Scholarships and the Cleveland Scholarship Program.
If you are looking for opportunities to learn in a nurturing, faith-centered environment at a school that helps you successfully prepare for college, Holy Name High School is the school for you. Our focus on education and personal growth is what sets us apart from other private schools.
