The FACTS application for the Class of 2028 is now open!
Holy Name High School partners with FACTS to handle all aspects of the financial aid application and verification process.
To register and sign-in using FACTS, visit https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3X2NP.
FACTS is to be used by both incoming freshmen families, as well as current Holy Name families.
Please note the following deadlines to apply for Financial Aid:
Families with incoming freshmen: Friday, December 1st, 2023
All other grade levels or returning families: Friday, April 26th, 2024
Along with being used for the financial aid application process, FACTS is used by Holy Name families who are making monthly tuition payments (rather than paying in full at the beginning of the school year).
If tuition is not paid in full by June 30, you must enroll with FACTS for monthly billing purposes and an annual enrollment fee of $45 fee will be added to the account. Additionally, the Financial Obligation Contract must be signed and returned to the Business Office in order for the monthly billing to be set up properly.
For an overview on Holy Name’s tuition and fees, please reference this informational document.
In addition to financial aid, current 8th graders may apply for the following scholarships by December 1st, 2023:

Triple Threat Scholarship: The mission of Holy Name High School is to lead young adults to Christ by educating them in Mind, Body, and Spirit, helping them to become a "Triple Threat." In the spirit of the mission, Holy Name has created a scholarship to honor future Namers who have shown a commitment to their personal growth in the three aforementioned areas.
To be eligible for the Triple Threat Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
The Triple Threat Award recipients embody what it means to be a well-rounded student committed to continuing their Catholic education at the high school level.
Additional Application Criteria:
The amount of scholarships awarded for the Class of 2027, as well as the award amount, will vary from year to year. Recipients will earn a scholarship of up to $3,000. All Triple Threat scholarships are renewable if the student remains in good academic standing, stays involved in extra/co-curriculars and, resubmits their FACTS application every year. This scholarship can be used in conjunction with other earned scholarships at Holy Name (i.e. Merit Award, Music Scholarship, EdChoice/Cleveland Scholarship, etc.). Likewise, should your student earn multiple scholarships, the total amount may not exceed full tuition cost at Holy Name.
Sister Marie Fillo Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship was established in 2020 in memory of Sister Marie Fillo, CSJ, who taught both history and theology at St. Joseph Academy, Nazareth Academy, and eventually Holy Name High School until her passing in 2000. She was well known for organizing educational European tours for Greater Cleveland students for more than 25 years. These educational trips provided a comparative culture exploration along with a better appreciation for both fine and performing arts. An essay of 500 words or less, typed and double-spaced, answering 'How do you live out your faith through the works of community service and/or extracurricular school activities focused on service?' is required. A minimum of four (4) $1,000 renewable scholarships will be awarded to incoming freshmen. This grant will be used for the following academic year.
John A. Koch Jr. '68 Memorial Scholarship: The scholarship was created to celebrate the life of John A. “Jack” Koch Jr. who passed away in 2017. Jack was a 1968 graduate of Holy Name High School where he often spoke of fond memories with friends, athletics, and faith. These themes followed Jack throughout his life as a loving husband to Nancy, and a devoted father to Nicole, Jack ’96 and Bob ’99. Jack’s profound faith and belief in Christ often led him to see the best in people and serve others in need regardless of age, race, orientation, religious preference, or economic status. Applicants must demonstrate financial need as documented through the FACTS application. They will also need to answer the following questions by choosing to write either in an essay format or in an interview. If the interview process is chosen, they are permitted to submit a video (2 to 3 minutes) for the committee to review:
1. Why did you choose Holy Name high school? How do you think your education here will impact your future?
2. Who has been the biggest positive influence in your life and how can you in turn be a positive influence in your community to serve others?
3. Tell us about yourself! What do you enjoy studying? What are your hobbies and interests?
One (1) $500 renewable scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who best exemplifies what it means to walk in faith.
Stenson Family Scholarship: Established in 2016, this scholarship fund was set up to honor the Stenson family. Joseph and Anne Stenson moved to Cleveland in the 1950s to the “old neighborhood” around Holy Name Church. The move was not successful in bettering their lives as Joseph suffered a disabling stroke soon afterwards. They subsisted on the hard work of Anne at many odd jobs and on government aid. Despite this hardship, their three children, Joseph ’61, David ’63 and Anne V ’71 (Vickie), attended Holy Name and put themselves through college and graduate school with scholarships and student loans. They worked as college professors and research scientists and are involved in community service in environmental issues, literacy and anti-hunger programs. Their children are physicists and biologists at prestigious institutes. The family strongly believes that education was the key to their success. They would like to help young people growing up in similarly challenging circumstances get a good education that will lead them to successful lives.
An essay answering one of the following questions:
1. Why is a Holy Name education important to you?
2 What areas/challenges you hope to explore in your years at HN and how will this prepare you for the future?
3. What people or circumstances in your life have inspired or motivated you?
Consideration will be given to award multiple recipients. All scholarships will be awarded by the first week in January. A minimum of 2 renewable scholarships of up to $2,000 will be awarded.
Applicant Criteria:
- The applicant must be currently seeking enrollment as a freshman at Holy Name.
- The applicant must demonstrate financial need. Therefore, families must complete the FACTS form. Special consideration may be given to other extenuating financial circumstances.
- The applicant must be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- The applicant must have a desire to pursue a Catholic education.
- Preference may be given to students who live in the city of Cleveland and/or show an interest and aptitude for math and sciences.
Eugene T. Krakowiak Scholarship - From 1968 until 1996, Eugene T. Krakowiak served as the principal of Holy Name High School. During his tenure, he inspired the faculty, staff, and students of Holy Name to work hard, value others, and most importantly, to live their faith. The Eugene T. Krakowiak Scholarship was established in his honor, with the ETK Golf Classic held each year to ensure these grants can be awarded annually. Although “Mr. K” passed away in 2012, his legacy lives on in those whose lives he impacted, and hopefully will continue to do so in the future Namers who will benefit from this scholarship.
Applicants must be current eighth graders who will be incoming freshmen at Holy Name during the following school year. Four (4) $1,000 renewable scholarships will be awarded to four 8th grade students who are currently attending Catholic grade schools. This scholarship will be awarded to each recipient for their four years at Holy Name High School providing the student remains in acceptable academic and disciplinary standing as determined by the selection committee.
Thomas P. Talty ’30 Scholarship - This scholarship was established in memory of Thomas P. Talty, a 1930 graduate of Holy Name. The amount of scholarships awarded per class, as well as the award amount, will vary from year to year.
