At Holy Name High School, we believe that extracurricular activities in high school provide an important addition to academics. We encourage students to explore their interests, participate in team-building, and connect with other high school students through school-sponsored, fun activities. That is why we offer multiple opportunities for personal growth, social development, and health benefits through clubs, organizations and other activities for high school students. Participation in activities outside of the classroom can also enhance student academic performance.
Student life activities for high school students also help prepare your child for postsecondary education and the college application process. In addition to the college on-campus program, where students earn college credits while attending class at Holy Name High School, we provide a rich selection of high school activities.
Whether they participate in academic clubs, social justice and religious organizations, artistic expression, or intramural sports, our students learn important lessons about team building, leadership, and service. These are experiences that may be included in college application materials and discussed during admission interviews.
Becoming active in organizations, electives, and clubs at Holy Name High School can help define your name, discover new strengths, and lay the foundation for future endeavors. Our students make the most of their high school experience by participating in one or more of the following extracurricular activities:
Once a month, Holy Name runs a special schedule so that students can participate in the Triple Threat Club Experience during the school day. During this community hour, students have the opportunity to discover new interests, actively engage in clubs, and interact with classmates and staff while growing in mind, body, and spirit. Additionally, student government works to build the HN community by planning quarterly grade-level activities. Recent events have included an outdoor movie night, bowling, and laser tag.
We offer a high-quality, faith-based, co-educational education for high school students. As a Catholic college preparatory school, we focus on academic excellence and the development of life-long learning skills. We also encourage whole-person development for our young men and women with activities for high school students that encourage team building and the fun exploration of interests and abilities. By participating in athletic, artistic, scientific, social, cultural, and religious activities outside of class, our students learn they can take advantage of enriching opportunities and lead full, vibrant lives.
At Holy Name High School, students achieve their goals with the encouragement of our excellent faculty and staff. We also provide an atmosphere of innovation, with cutting-edge technology provided in the school. Our students get the opportunity to serve the greater community, developing important social skills and cultural awareness.
