Holy Name will be offering a Practice Placement Exam for current 7th grade students (Class of 2029)
Students currently in 7th grade are invited to take a practice High School Placement Test (HSPT) at Holy Name High School.
The test has no cost, but spots are limited. All those who attend will be entered into a scholarship raffle for two $500 awards to be redeemed during the 2025-2026 school year. Holy Name's Admissions Office will be hosting a Parent Information Session during the exam covering topics such as the Holy Name Advantage, the high school search process, and financial aid. The session will begin at 11:00am.
Students may choose to use their results from the practice exam for admission into Holy Name in the Fall, but are more than welcome and encouraged to re-test during their 8th grade year.
If your student scores in the 90th national percentile or above on the practice exam, they will earn the designation of a Namer Scholar. These students are eligible for a 4-year, renewable HSPT scholarship ranging from $1,000 - $6,000. Actual amount of the scholarship will be awarded in Fall.
All incoming students will be required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) in order to fully submit an application.
We encourage students to test at Holy Name High School, but are welcome to test at other schools. Students can only test once at Holy Name. Parent/guardians may submit their student's highest test score to the admissions team to be considered for scholarship and placement. Please email test results to admissions@holynamehs.com.
Holy Name awards merit scholarships to the students who score in the top 10% on the admissions exam. These students will be named Holy Name Scholar Students and will receive a tiered scholarship ranging from $1000 – $6000. This scholarship is renewable based on strong academic achievement and will be awarded and celebrated in December.
If you student has an academic service plan and needs accomodations, please note this on the registration form and a member of the admissions team will contact you prior to the exam. For more information on Holy Name's Academic Adjustment Plan, please click here.
