Tomorrow - Thursday, June 30 - marks the end of an era at Holy Name High School. Our two main office administrative secretaries, Mrs. Debbie Fiorilli and Mrs. Kris Mulac, are both retiring!

The Athletic Department commends and recognizes all of the Class of 2022 students who were the recipients of the OHSAA Scholar Athlete Award; Senior Student Athlete of the Year Award; NFHS Award of Excellence; OHSAA Archie Griffin Award; PAAF Frank Svoboda Award; and the OHSAA Courageous Student Award.
We are proud to share that at the Great Lakes Conference Championship in May, sophomore Jeffrey Jemison broke the school record in the 400 Meter Dash! His time was 50.31.
Congratulations to Holy Name's Just Write team for their strong showing at the state writing tournament, which was held at the University of Findlay on Saturday, May 21. Three HN writers placed in the competition, which included approximately 200 writers from 40 schools.
Congratulations to senior Colin Russ who will study Criminal Justice: Security Administration and begin his collegiate baseball career at Tri-C in the fall. Colin chose Tri-C because it offered his preferred academic program and the opportunity to continue playing baseball.
Congratulations to senior Albert Selby who will be attending Baldwin Wallace where he will major in computer science. At BW, Albert also hopes to minor in statistics and, perhaps, audio production and sound design.
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for our seniors - we have celebrated Senior Awards; the Car Parade; Prom; Senior Prayer Service & Breakfast; Senior Sunset; and the Baccalaureate Mass/Tribute to Mary Ceremony all in the last two weeks! Up next: Graduation.
Junior theology teacher Ms. Katie Schuerger is in her fourth year as a member of the HN faculty. She earned degrees in catechetics and theology with a concentration in youth ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Mrs. Denise Humphrey began her journey towards becoming an English teacher at HN by earning her bachelor’s degree in English and education at John Carroll University. She then taught junior high for half a year at St. Vincent De Paul and high school for one year at North Olmsted.
