The Holy Name community commemorated the 20th anniversary of September 11th with the first ever outdoor all-school Mass on Cicerchi Field last Friday, September 10. It was also a red, white, and blue dress down day.
As they prepared for the day, students, faculty, staff, and friends of HN added the names of past and present first responders as well as individuals studying to be first responders to a prayer book, which was placed in front of the altar and included in the General Intercessions at Mass. Theology classes also made signs reflecting their gratitude for our country and willingness to live the Beatitudes.
In his homily, Fr. Jacob Bearer, from St. Columbkille Church in Parma, urged the HN community to live boldly for the freedom of the children of God.
