Fall on Queens Highway always enhances the beauty of Holy Name's already picturesque campus. The leaves add that pop of color, making everything more vibrant and lively.
Moving from one season to the next also reminds me that change is a constant in all of our lives. This is even true at Holy Name, where this summer, several capital improvements happened on school grounds.
All of the updates, but most especially the kitchen and bathroom renovations, would not have been possible without our Head of Maintenance Joe Kavalec '83 and his KPM staff at Holy Name. Thank you, Joe and team, for taking care of the renovations and ensuring they were thoroughly completed. The updates include:
A $250,000 Kitchen Renovation - made possible in part by funding received from the Diocese of Cleveland - which features an all-new ventilation system, as well as state-of-the-art appliances and prep stations
A $25,000 Girls Bathroom Remodeling for lavatories on both the first and third floors
Repairs made to Stained Glass Windows in the Chapel, completed in part due to generous donors
Three Water Bottle Filling Stations in the Main Gym area, installed thanks to a grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
New Benches in front of each of the main entrances to the school
All updates were made with the overall student experience in mind. Holy Name is a welcoming place, one with countless opportunities for our students to take advantage of, benefit from, and utilize to grow into strong young men and women. Our priority is their well-being, and the opportunity to upgrade numerous facility areas is something we take great pride in today.
Thank you for providing your time, treasure, and talent to Holy Name, and for believing in the power of our Catholic, college preparatory education. Together, we can continue to ensure students' minds, bodies, and spirits - the Triple Threat - receive the support and care they deserve.
