PSAT and Pre-ACT Testing (Grades 9–11)

Wednesday, October 12: Testing Day for Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen

This Wednesday, October 12 will be a testing day for all juniors, sophomores, and freshmen. On Tuesday night, we encourage everyone to sleep well, and then eat a nutritious breakfast Wednesday morning!

Every student should bring #2 pencils and a calculator with them for testing. Mechanical pencils will not work.

Students must arrive no later than 7:45 AM so they can successfully get to their assigned rooms and be ready to go when testing begins. All testing will begin promptly at 7:50 AM.

*Students: You will not be able to go to your locker after testing. If you need to get something, please plan on stopping at your locker prior to reporting to your testing room.

Dismissal times will vary, and are indicated below. When students are dismissed, they will be instructed to leave the building immediately. Those waiting to be picked up need to go to the Cafeteria. After-school supervision in the cafeteria will only be provided until 12 PM. Students who are not under the direct supervision of an adult by that time need to vacate the building.

Normal school dress code applies for this day. Due to the abbreviated schedule, no afternoon bus transportation will be available (morning bus service will be on as usual).

Juniors – Class of 2024

Juniors (and a small group of sophomores) will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT. Last names A-Hall will be testing in the Cafeteria. Last names Hamm-Z will be testing in the Auxiliary Gym.

Juniors will be dismissed between 11:30 and 11:45 AM.

Sophomores – Class of 2025

Sophomores will be taking the Pre-ACT. All sophomore students have been assigned to test in rooms on the 2^nd Floor. They will be with their respective Homerooms. Homeroom assignments can be checked on the 1^st Floor Bulletin Board.

Sophomores will be dismissed around 11:15 AM.

Freshmen – Class of 2026

Freshmen will also be taking the Pre-ACT. All freshmen students have been assigned to test in rooms on the 1^st Floor. They will be with their respective Homerooms. Homeroom assignments can be checked on the 1^st Floor Bulletin Board.

Freshmen will be dismissed around 11:15 AM.
