irst quarter report cards will be available for pick-up this Thursday, November 4 from 3 to 6 PM in the Main Office. Report cards not picked up on Thursday will be mailed home on Friday, as long as all financial obligations are current. Those who would like to shop in our Team Shop will also have the opportunity to do so on Thursday! The Team Shop will be open from 3:30 to 6 PM that afternoon/evening.
Additionally, Thursday is our scheduled day for Parent-Teacher Conferences. This year, conferences will be held in-person, at Holy Name, from 3 to 6 PM. However, you must sign-up for conferences in advance. To schedule a conference for November 4, you can do so by signing up on each individual teacher’s Sign Up Genius Form. The deadline to sign up for conferences is tomorrow, Wednesday, November 3 at 3 p.m.
Here are some additional details about the sign-up process, as well as the conferences themselves:
2. You may sign up to meet with one of your student’s teachers, all of them, or none of them; parent-teacher conferences are not required. Students do not need to attend conferences with parents.
You do not need to have a Sign Up Genius Account to sign up for conferences. However, when selecting a time slot, please make sure to indicate your email and your name. It would also be helpful if you would indicate your student’s name in the Comments section.
If a particular teacher has all of his/her appointment slots filled, please reach out to them via email so you can schedule another time to speak.
3. Once you are registered for a particular time slot, you should receive a confirmation email. You will receive a confirmation email for every teacher/time slot you schedule. Please keep these emails so you can reference the schedule you have created for yourself.
4. When you come to school on Thursday for your conference(s), please stop by the Main Office first. You can get your student’s report card, as well as a handout sharing where each teacher is located in the building.
5. Since it is likely someone else will be meeting with the teacher immediately before your assigned time slot, we recommend coming to your meeting right on-time; not necessarily early.
6. Finally, Junior Parents are reminded that at 6 PM Thursday, the Guidance Counselors will share a presentation to go over Class of 2023 details, including next steps in the college process, college essay writing, ACT/SAT information, Naviance, and college/career shadowing visit procedures. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria, and will last approximately 60 minutes. Students do not need to attend.
Thank you, and we look forward to welcoming parents into the building for conferences and more Thursday afternoon!
