Next Wave Elementary Art & Literary Contest Opens

Holy Name High School is excited to share that our Next Wave Elementary Art and Literary Contest is back in 2023!

Submissions can be entered through the online application system beginning today, Tuesday, February 7. All online submission forms are accessible at www.holynamehs.com/nextwave . The entry deadline is Tuesday, March 7.

*If for any reason a teacher experiences issues with the online submission system, please email info@holynamehs.com and we can explore an alternative submission method.*

Entries for both artwork and literary pieces will be accepted. The Art Contest is open to Catholic school students in grades K-8, and the submission process is segmented into K-2; 3-5; and 6-8. Each grade school can submit six pieces, per category (ex. 6 in K-2, 6 in 3-5, etc.). 

The Literary Contest is open to Catholic school students in grades 3-8, and we ask that grade level is indicated on each piece for appropriate evaluation. Each grade school can submit three pieces per grade level (ex. 3 in 3rd grade, 3 in 4th grade, etc.). 

We expect winners to be announced in early to mid April! All winning pieces will be featured in Holy Name's SPLASH Magazine of the Literary and Visual Arts, and/or on display at our Evening of the Arts on Friday, May 12.
