The Class of 2025 Welcome Meeting will be Thursday, February 25 from 6:30-8:00pm in the main gymnasium. At this meeting, you will have the opportunity to meet our administrators and learn what to expect in the coming months.
Due to Covid restrictions, each family will be limited to 3 guests (student & 2 guests). If you cannot attend, we will send you the recording of the event on Friday, February 26. We ask that everyone RSVP so we can properly set up socially distant seating.

FinalForms is Holy Name's online forms and data management service. To begin registering your student at Holy Name, you must create an account as soon as possible.
Please register at https://holynameparmaheights-oh.finalforms.com/ and follow the prompts to create your account, create your student's account, and sign your forms.
We are asking that the first 3 form sections be completed by Tuesday, February 23. These sections are: Contact Information, Demographic Information, and Additional New Student Information. In order to register for classes at your student's guidance counselor appointment, these must be completed.

The next step in the enrollment process is to meet with your student's guidance counselor, who will lead you through all aspects of Freshman Registration. During the individual appointment, you will register for your freshmen courses and discuss your tranisition into high school. Remember, you will have the same counselor for the next four years. They are very excited to meet you and your family!
More information regarding the appointment will be covered at the Welcome Meeting on Thursday, February 25.
In the meantime, you may start signing up for a timeslot with your assigned counselor. Please note: there are some slots designated for an in-person meeting and some reserved for Zoom calls. Our counselors will be available on various dates from February 26 - March 12.

Below are the scholarships with a brief description available to the Class of 2025. To apply, please click on each link (the bolded name of the scholarship) for more information. Applications are due on March 26, 2021. Recipients will be announced in mid-April.

Ciolek Educational Fund - The purpose of the Ciolek Educational Fund is to provide family members of the Donors (and certain other grantees) with funds to obtain an education at Holy Name High School, St. Mary’s Prep School in Orchard Lake, Michigan, or any approved Catholic high school in the State of Ohio. Applicants must be current eighth graders who will be incoming freshmen at Holy Name during the following school year. One (1) $1,500 renewable scholarship is awarded per class. All scholarships will be used for the following academic year.
Class of ’57 Scholarship - Patrons of the class of 1957, who came from many Catholic elementary schools, including Holy Name Elementary, established the Class of 1957 Scholarship Fund on September 16, 2007 during their 50th reunion, under the coordination of Joseph F. ’57 and Elaine M. Swyt. It is their intention through this fund to proclaim their faith to Holy Name by offering financial support to deserving students, so that they can carry on its rich tradition and spirit. Applicants must be current eighth graders at Catholic grade schools who will be incoming freshmen at Holy Name during the following school year. One (1) $1,000 non-renewable scholarship is awarded per class.
Eugene T. Krakowiak Scholarship - From 1968 until 1996, Eugene T. Krakowiak served as the principal of Holy Name High School. During his tenure, he inspired the faculty, staff, and students of Holy Name to work hard, value others, and most importantly, to live their faith. The Eugene T. Krakowiak Scholarship was established in his honor, with the ETK Golf Classic held each year to ensure these grants can be awarded annually. Although “Mr. K” passed away in 2012, his legacy lives on in those whose lives he impacted, and hopefully will continue to do so in the future Namers who will benefit from this scholarship. Applicants must be current eighth graders who will be incoming freshmen at Holy Name during the following school year. Four (4) $1,000 renewable scholarships will be awarded to four 8th grade students who are currently attending Catholic grade schools. This scholarship will be awarded to each recipient for their four years at Holy Name High School providing the student remains in acceptable academic and disciplinary standing as determined by the selection committee.
Thomas P. Talty ’30 Scholarship - This scholarship was established in memory of Thomas P. Talty, a 1930 graduate of Holy Name. The amount of scholarships awarded per class, as well as the award amount, will vary from year to year.
Richard Koenig Memorial Scholarship - Established in 2016, the Richard Koenig Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Rick Koenig, who passed away in 2015. Rick was a loving husband to his wife, Deidre (Dee Dee) Maloney ’81 Koenig, and a devoted father to his three children, Ricky ’05, Ryan ’10 and Rachael ’14. He loved watching and cheering on his children and their teammates as they competed in wrestling, football and volleyball for the Green Wave. Rick epitomized what it means to be a ‘family man,’ and will forever be remembered for the love and respect he had for all those who were lucky to call him a friend. Applicants must be current eighth graders who will be incoming freshmen at Holy Name during the following school year. Two (1) $1,000 non-renewable scholarships are awarded per class.
Tradition with Vision Scholarship (for HN Elementary graduates only) - Please reach out to Mr. Joey Keleman (jkeleman@holynamehs.com) for an application.
This scholarship was established in 1998 to help students at Holy Name Elementary School in Cleveland continue their Catholic education at Holy Name High School. Only those who are currently in the eighth grade at Holy Name Elementary and have been accepted to attend Holy Name High School for the following school year are eligible to apply for this scholarship. One (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a male student, and one (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a female student. Scholarship recipients will be notified via mail.
Diocesan Tuition Assistance (DTA)
Financial assistance provided by the Diocese of Cleveland. To qualify, students must be enrolled and have a
completed FACTS Management application on file. Awards are need based and are distributed in the spring of 2021.
Sr. Marie Fillo Memorial Scholarship - information to be posted in the coming weeks!

CHALTA Sprungle Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is offered by the Cleveland High School and Academy Lay Teachers Association (CHALTA). Applicants must be current eighth graders who will be incoming freshmen at Holy Name during the following school year. The deadline for submission is Friday, April 16, 2021, and applications should be mailed back to Holy Name High School, Attn. Ms. Katie Hennessey, 6000 Queens Hwy. Parma Heights, OH 44130. Two (2) $500 scholarships will be awarded. Recipients will be notified by letter by mid-June 2021.

The Martin T. Galvin Memorial Scholarship Fund for Catholic High School Students
In 2018 the Lawyers Guild of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland established the Martin T. Galvin Memorial Scholarship Fund in conjunction with the Catholic Community Foundation. The Reminger Foundation granted $10,000 toward the creation of this scholarship to honor their departed colleague and friend Marty Galvin. The purpose is to provide scholarship assistance to a student enrolled or entering a high school providing a Catholic education within the Diocese of Cleveland in the fall of 2020. Students eligible to apply must have a family member who is a member of the Catholic Lawyers Guild or a parent who is an attorney practicing law in Northeast Ohio; be currently accepted to, or enrolled in a Catholic high school within the Diocese of Cleveland; be registered at a parish in the Diocese; and be participating members of their school and/or community. Applicants must complete the student-applicant sections of the application which includes a listing of extracurricular activities and a written essay. Students must also select someone to complete the letter of recommendation and ask their principal to complete another section. If you meet these criteria and would like to apply, applications are available in the main office or with Mrs. Karen Carter. If you are an incoming freshman, please email Mrs. Carter at kcarter@holynamehs.com. All completed applications must be returned to Mrs. Carter by MONDAY, MARCH 8, 2021.
Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union Catholic Education Scholarship
In order to apply for a scholarship, applicants must be a member of Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union with a minimum balance of $50.00 or a current loan, currently attend a Catholic elementary school or high school in Ohio, and be willing to submit proof of income if chosen as a finalist. All families with students enrolled in Catholic schools are eligible for membership with Ohio Catholic FCU and membership can easily be established by calling 888-696-4462.
Online applications will be accepted beginning February 1, through March 15, 2021. The scholarship funds will be sent directly to the Catholic school in the name of the family awarded the funds no later than mid-August. Please note that applications will not be accepted once the application period closes. Additionally, incomplete applications will not be considered. Once a scholarship application has been submitted, the applicant cannot change or alter any information on the form.

The Educational Choice Scholarship (EdChoice) Program provides students from designated public schools the opportunity to attend participating private schools. The program also provides low-income students who are entering kindergarten through 12th grade scholarship opportunities. There are two different scholarships under the EdChoice program:
1) EdChoice Traditional -
The application portal for the state-funded Cleveland Scholarship Program is currently open.
