Congratulations to senior Jess Nary who will be playing D2 collegiate volleyball and studying in the Exercise Science program at Ursuline College.
She chose Ursuline because it offers the “perfect balance” of academic and athletic opportunities. She also appreciated the college’s welcoming atmosphere.
After college, Jess plans to help people recover from and prevent injury as a physician assistant in sports medicine.
She says that her favorite class at HN was Mrs. McCafferty’s Honors Anatomy and Physiology, where she “learned something new every day and was always engaged in class.”
Although they fall outside her particular areas of interest, Jess also enjoyed CCP English and AP Government.
She encourages underclassmen to “Enjoy your years while they last and make sure to get involved. It is really important to try to do well in academics early in your high school career to better set yourself up for applying to colleges. Most importantly, have fun. Go to sporting events or club days and do things as a community.”
Congratulations to Jess, and stay tuned for more senior profiles!
