Holy Name Principal Karen Carter, who has announced that she will step down as Principal of Holy Name at the end of the 2022 – 23 school year.
Mrs. Carter has served at Holy Name since the Fall of 1992, when she joined the school as a Social Studies teacher. Throughout her career at Holy Name, Mrs. Carter served as Head Varsity Volleyball Coach, JV Softball Coach, Assistant Athletic Director and Associate Director of Admissions. In August of 2012 she became a Guidance Counselor moving into the role of Assistant Principal of Academics in 2014. Mrs. Carter began her tenure as Holy Name’s principal during July of 2020, one of the most challenging periods in our country’s recent history. Mrs. Carter’s deep love for and commitment to Holy Name offered the conviction and vision to lead the school through the demands of the pandemic, always prioritizing the school’s mission to lead young adults to Christ by educating them in mind, body, and spirit.
