Why Holy Name? In other words, why did you decide to join our school community? I went to a catholic high school that didn't offer ASL. Being able to bring ASL into a faith based school was so important to me!
What is your favorite thing about Holy Name thus far? The community. The faculty is so open and responsive, and the students are all eager to learn!
What is your favorite part about your job (does not have to be HN-specific; could be your favorite part about being an educator, a campus minister, etc.)? I love watching students understand a new concept!
Where is the most interesting place you have visited? I got to go to Paris before my first year of high school and it was wonderful.
What is one fun fact about yourself? I am in the world record book with my twin sister!
Who or what inspired you to be in your position? I had a teacher named Steve Vickory in college who I adored! He was such an intelligent Deaf man, and he taught me so much about the language.
Which books/authors or songs/artists have influenced you the most? Rick Riordan inspired my love for reading, and Deaf West is always releasing beautiful music accessible to both hearing and Deaf audiences!
What is the most helpful advice you’ve received? Everyone is a little bit unsure. Just try your best. - My Mom
What is one piece of advice you would like to give the students at Holy Name? You are worth so much more than you know. Grades, sports, popularity, they all have some importance, but remember how vital you are as a human being. You're gonna do great things.
