We are very proud to share that Mollie Stracensky ’22 has been named a Semifinalist in the 2022 National Merit® Scholarship Program!
Mollie, who is a graduate of Saint Ambrose School in Brunswick, qualified for this recognition after earning a high PSAT/NMSQT® Selection Index score. She is now eligible to compete for 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $30 million.
Along with being named a National Merit Semifinalist, Mollie is currently ranked first in her class at Holy Name. She is actively involved in several school clubs and activities, including National Honor Society, Academic Challenge, Medical Careers, Just Write, Campus Ministry, Student Senate, and Drama. A talented performer, Mollie has been in Holy Name’s Fall Play and Spring Musical. She also participates in cross country, basketball, and track.
Mollie and her family belong to Saint Ambrose Parish, where she is an altar server and lector. Her faith is very important to her. She is also active in the church’s youth group, and serves on the retreat leadership team.
After graduating from Holy Name in the spring, Mollie wants to study aerospace engineering. She plans to apply to the U.S. Naval Academy. Other schools on her radar include the University of Notre Dame, The Ohio State University, and Purdue University. If she goes to ND, OSU, or Purdue, she will participate in ROTC.
