Leila Orellana '24 Earns Full Tuition Scholarship to Thiel College!

Today we learned incredible news about one of our seniors: Leila Orellana has received a full tuition scholarship to Thiel College in Greenville, PA! Thiel Admissions Counselor Sam Faber surprised Leila with the big news Friday morning.

Out of 177 applicants, Leila was one of just five students who received this scholarship - worth $146,000 - from Thiel. Those who interviewed her as part of the scholarship process were impressed with her well-rounded background and poise.

Leila has made the most of her time at Holy Name. She is the secretary of Medical Club, while also being a member of Coffee Club, National Honor Society, and the EmpowerHER Women's Mentorship Program. Leila played tennis for the Green Wave and is the girls basketball manager. Outside of HN, she is an Irish dancer.
