With heavy hearts, we share that Class of 2023 graduate, Roberto Colón Jr., passed away earlier today, Wednesday, October 11.
Roberto was an incredible young man. A quiet and thoughtful student, he loved lending a hand at many Holy Name events. His senior year, Roberto blossomed into a reliable photographer for the school yearbook.
During his cancer battle, he taught everyone lessons in perseverance, determination, and gratitude. Even on his toughest days, Roberto put his best foot forward. The smile he gave when he was handed his diploma at graduation in May was unforgettable. We were, and will always be, proud of him for this accomplishment.
We pray for Roberto, and most especially pray for his family. May they feel the compassion and love surrounding them as they celebrate Roberto's life and say goodbye to their beloved son, brother, and friend. Thank you, Roberto, for choosing to be a Namer. We are all richer because of it.
