Recently, Mr. PJ Farrell’s Gaming Concepts class and Mrs. Julie Brannigan’s Digital Art and Design III class teamed up to create their own tangible and fully functional board games.
After Mr. Farrell’s students designed the concepts, Mrs. Brannigan’s class used the school’s 3D printer, vinyl printer, and laser engraver to create the pieces and art for the games:
"Study Hall Slumber" challenges students not to get caught by a teacher while sleeping in study hall.
In "Compete," players play against one another as one of four different sports—football, basketball, soccer, and baseball.
"King's Domain," finally, is a murder mystery game.
In every class at HN, it's always GAME ON for teamwork, innovation, critical thinking, and practical 21st century skills!
